Verstappen Claims Pole in Belgium; Sainz to Start First

Ocon, Norris, Leclerc, Zhou, and Schumacher to Serve Grid Penalties

Max Verstappen put in a stunning performance in Belgian Grand Prix qualifying, securing pole position. However, due to grid penalties, Ferrari's Carlos Sainz will start the race from the front. Verstappen dominated qualifying throughout all three segments, claiming the top spot in Q3 with a time of 1:43.665. His teammate, Sergio Perez, also performed well, qualifying third behind Sainz. Despite Verstappen's impressive performance, he will start the race from fourteenth due to engine-related grid penalties. This penalty also affects several other drivers: Esteban Ocon, Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, Guanyu Zhou, and Mick Schumacher. As a result, Sainz will start the race on pole, followed by Perez. Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton will line up in third and fourth, respectively. The Belgian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, August 28, with the race scheduled to start at 2 pm CEST.
